Dr. Arturo Chayet IOL & Lasik Expert

Plastic and Reconstructive Oculofacial Surgery

The need of wanting to do something to renew our general appearance, look less tired or angry is one that prevails in the general population: men and women from 30 to 90 years old. To make the surgical changes to rejuvenate the look of our eyelids, the doctor must know the anatomy of this area perfectly and, at the same time, they must know the necessary elements, both in knowledge and infrastructure, to assess and resolve any complications that may arise.

One must remember that the eyelids are the protection of our eyes, which is why ONLY an OPHTHALMOLOGIST with training in OCULOPLASTICS can give a comprehensive and safe service regarding the correction of any cosmetic flaw in the eyelids.

Besides the cosmetic aspect, OCULOPLASTICS (branch of ophthalmology that takes care of the orbit, the eyelids, and the lachrymal ducts) interested me since very early in my formation because it was the high specialty with the greatest number of techniques and procedures to conquer, as well as the precision and minimal margin of error that this art allows, since it deals with our face as our work area.

I graduated as a medical surgeon with the group Núcleos de Calidad Educativa (NUCE) in the Faculty of Medicine at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Ciudad Universitaria Campus, with studies in specialty and high specialty at Hospital Luis Sánchez Bulnes’ Association to Prevent Blindness in Mexico City.

I have been able to consolidate my practice and craft both in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery for eyelids during my stay at several institutions such as IMSS’ Centro Médico Nacional Siglo XXI IMSS, ISSTE’s Centro Médico Nacional 20 de noviembre and my most recent headship in Oculoplastic Services at Manuel Gea González General Hospital, all high patient benchmark centers across Mexico.

Nowadays I live in Tijuana and am pleased to offer all of my services to patients in this entire area in a First Level Ophthalmological Center such as CODET Vision Institute. Don’t hesitate to call me and schedule an appointment. I will gladly give you the care you need.
