Tijuana's art and innovation, CODET and Cine Tonalá strike an alliance 7/12/2017

Tijuana's art and innovation
CODET and Cine Tonalá strike an alliance

Between 6th and 7th street in Revolución Avenue in Tijuana, you can find Cine Tonalá, a new cultural space in the heart of Tijuana that opened its doors at the end of 2016, quickly positioning itself as one of the favorite places of the city’s artistic community.

Cine Tonalá is a project that brings together cinematography, scenic arts and gastronomy in one single place. With additional locations in Mexico City and Bogotá, one of its main objectives is the promotion of Mexican cinema.

At the helm of this venture are filmmakers Adriana Trujillo and José Inerzia, who saw an opportunity to provide the public with movies that are not offered in big cinema franchises, as well as a place to engage in training workshops for theater, music, among other things.

Cine Tonalá also has a restaurant in its terrace, led by chef Diego Hernández from “Corazón de Tierra”, a bar to enjoy craft beer at, and a spectacular panoramic view of one of Tijuana’s most emblematic symbols, the show center “El Foro”, the former Jai-Alai palace.

Once you visit this very different proposal in the city, you will be amazed at the interesting visual experiences it offers.

CODET Vision Institute, forever supporter of the arts and Mexican talent, has forged an alliance with Cine Tonalá, two city icons that have and will continue to innovate and create projects together, as a part of the cultural renaissance of Tijuana.
