Frontera - Tijuana Inovadora 10/18/2010

TIJUANA, B.C. (PH)
A range of vision care options are made available to patients due to advances in ophthalmic field, exposed by the 2005 Nobel Prize  winner in Chemistry, Dr. Robert Grubbs, as part of Tijuana Inovadora 2010.

The investigator and professor's conference titled "Innovation in Eye Surgery," at the Tijuana Cultural Center (Cecut), reveals the hard work that has taken place to develop solutions for eye diseases, including glaucoma and cataracts.

At this time, Grubbs, accompanied by Dr. Arturo Chayet, director of Codet Vision, discussed new materials, as well as adjustable vision lenses that are designed to improve the quality of vision for patients after cataract surgery.

Tijuana has become the spearhead for the development of these investigations and the application of technology, thanks to the work undertaken by Chayet and his team, seeing patients from both sides of the border, seeking to comprehensively address their visual shortcomings.
