Recently, one of our American patients wrote a very kinda letter to Dr. Chayet.  This is what she had to say:

Dear Dr. Chayet,

I doubt that you remember me, but you performed cataract surgery on both my of eyes in June 2010. The result of the surgery is that for the first time in 55 years, I am able to see, both near and far, without glasses or contact lenses!  I don't think I ever thanked you properly.  I was unemployed, uninsured and terrified by the prospect of losing my vision.  After much research I realized that I just didn't have the money to pay for the surgery in the US, where I was being quoted "special" self-pay rates of approximately 3 times what you charge.  I had almost decided to wait 2 years without being able to read comfortably or drive until I qualified for Medicare.  Then, I found you on the Internet.  Not only did you fix me, but also my vision is better than it's ever been!  You are a miracle worker, and I believe it's a miracle that found you when I did. It's not only the results of the surgery that impressed me, but your whole office environment is impressive.  Indeed, you, your office set-up, and your staff exude competence, which, in turn, gave me confidence.  Yes, you are located in Tijuana, but rather than having a "second world" experience, I felt that I was being treated in a "world class" clinic.
