A fusion of inspiring vibe, arts and unique cuisine makes Tijuana your next go-to spot 5/4/2018

Just like the mythical phoenix from the ashes, the city is reborn to begin a journey and position itself as a modern Mecca of art, music, and gastronomy.

“Welcome to Mexico” is the way in which the city receives each of the foreigners that arrive to the country. Since it was founded in 1889, Tijuana has been a cultural bridge for its neighbor country and the rest of North America which has turned it into a cultural, touristic, gastronomic and international economical epicenter.

Food Gardem

Recently, the city has seen a modernization and has been transforming itself into the new essential site for any traveler in search of a hidden paradise in the middle of the Baja California desert. Usually, when one thinks of this border city it is associated with the idea of a young people destination during spring break, but it is actually more than that. It is a destination in which one can breathe and live the culture of Mexico.

Humo @ Telefonica Gastropark

  • Where to eat: The gastronomic offer is as large and exquisite as in any cosmopolitan city. For first time tourists, La Querencia is the ideal place to foray into the famous Baja Med style that was born in Esquina de México, though the food has evolved in this place beyond its classic cuisine. We found these places such as Food Garden or Telefónica Gastro Park, ideal for those millennials who love traveling around the world.

La Justina

  • What to visit. Traditional places are hidden in Tijuana. Such is the case with Centro Cultural, whose architectonical exterior was designed by Mexicans Pedro Ramírez Vázquez and Manuel Rosen Morrison, which is as fascinating as its interior.

El Arco y el Reloj (The Arch and the Clock) is the perfect way to know this enigmatic city, that turns a simple trip into a memorable adventure, in the now reborn Avenida Revolución, where we find hipster places such as Café Malvia and La Justina. If you want to enjoy a good beer, visit the awarded Norte Brewing and Teorema/Lúdica and if you love art movies and city views, don’t miss Cine Tonalá.

Malvia Café

Without a doubt, if you come back to Tijuana, you won’t find it the same as a few years ago, since it is a city that Tijuanenses themselves have reinvented.
