Phakic IOLs have high prescriptions. At CODET Vision Institute, we have pioneered the development of Phakic Intraocular Lenses (PIOLs), which are an alternative to the previously mentioned Laser-based procedures. Phakic IOLS can be either spheric or toric. Spheric PIOLs correct myopia or hyperopia, while toric PIOLs correct astigmatism. The difference is that toric PIOLs have to be inserted in a specific angle.
