Ophthalmologists culminate their Fellowship Program at CODET

Graduation ceremony for the culmination of the 2019-2020 graduating CODET fellowship class.

CODET Vision Institute is not only distinguished for being a leading ophthalmology institute in the development of new ophthalmic technology, but it is also considered a world-renowned teaching institution, where a significant number of talented doctors each year become subspecialists via CODET’s prestigious Fellowship Program.

On March 30th, the graduation ceremony for the culmination of the 2019-2020 graduating fellowship class was held here at CODET Vision Institute. Fellows finished their program in Cornea and Refractive Surgery/Anterior Segment.

Dr. Arturo Chayet – Medical Director of CODET Vision Institute, Dr. Denisse Pinkus – Specialist in Cornea and Refractive Surgery, and Dr. Gabriela Avila – Head of the Glaucoma Department, were present at the ceremony, who with pride and honor presented their students with diplomas, signifying the completion of the Fellowship Program in Cornea and Refractive Surgery/Anterior Segment.

The graduates of the Fellowship Program were:

  • Dr. Yunuen Bages Rousselon – Cornea Fellowship
  • Dr. Antonio Jaime Villarreal González – Refractive Surgery and Anterior Segment Cornea Fellowship
  • Dr. Melesio Eduardo Palazuelos López – Refractive Surgery and Anterior Segment Cornea Fellowship
  • ​Dr. Tania Elizabeth Castellanos Franco – Refractive Surgery and Anterior Segment Cornea Fellowship

Additionally, at the end of the ceremony, an announcement was made that both Dr. Tania Castellanos and Dr. Melesio Palazuelos will remain in CODET’s Fellowship Program as 2nd year fellows and partake in the Cornea fellowship.
