The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) annual meeting is one of the main sources of new developments in ophthalmology.
It is an international society with more than 9,000 members whose mission is to improve the art and science of ophthalmic surgery. ASCRS organizes the annual meeting in the United States where all its ophthalmologist members meet for five days to both share with and learn from the experiences of their peers who have the privilege of speaking on topics regarding technological and/or medical innovations that represent important contributions, such as cataract surgery, refractive surgery, near vision, cornea, and dry eye.
Always at the forefront of innovation and advancements, a wonderful group of ophthalmologists from CODET, Dr. Arturo Chayet, Dr. Denisse Pinkus, Dr. Gabriela Avila, and Dr. Irma Zamudio, recently attended the 2019 edition of the meeting that took place in the San Diego Convention Center from May 3-7.
On Cornea Day, Dr. Arturo Chayet participated in the Femtosecond Laser-Assisted LASIK Panel with his topic “Sub-80 Micron Flap Femtosecond Assisted LASIK for Correction of Myopia and Myopic Astigmatism”, sharing his unique experience, knowledge, and research developed on this topic with the Ziemer Femto LDV Z8 Femtosecond Laser.
