Curriculum & Activities

  • Train for and gain responsibilities in: 
    • Fundación CODET ((CODET’s Foundation clinic, non-profit patient care)
    • CODET Vision Institute
    • Assigned Surgeries
  • Obtain first responder experience with medical phone calls and private emergency management
  • Education in the detection and management of all Glaucoma pathologies
  • Training in the performance and interpretation of all diagnostic studies of Glaucoma
  • Attendance and active participation in multidisciplinary activities
  • Preparation, attendance, and active participation in the Weekly Academic Sessions of the Glaucoma Department and other services of the institution
  • Attendance and active participation in the Virtual General Monthly Academic Sessions with invited professors from all over the world
  • Preparation and presentation of academic cases
  • Possibility of authoring/co-authoring academic publications
  • Participation in research protocols
  • Active participation in public and private detection campaigns at CODET’s private practice, at Fundación CODET, and at our mobile unit
  • Study and follow the standard operating procedures of CODET Vision Institute

Requirements

  • Must have completed the first year of the Anterior Segment Fellowship at CODET Vision Institute in the previous year
  • English language knowledge: 80% to 100% spoken and written
  • Curriculum Vitae includes the number of cataract surgeries performed to dateFormal letter requesting to participate in the Fellowship at CODET Vision Institute
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • Copy of the Medical Surgeon degree
  • Copy of the Ophthalmology degree
  • Copy of the Surgeon License
