Optometrist Day 2018: The importance of Eye Exams 3/16/2018

Every institution, just as any other business or government office, is a system that depends on several people, professionals, directives and helpers to carry out to maximum efficiency the duties and objectives of the institute. Like in an assembly line, if any element fails or is not followed out to its optimal potential, it can cause problems from delays to deficiencies in the system.

This is one of the reasons why expert professionals with the greatest experience and with the most innovative and advanced equipment are in charge of our Optometry Department to evaluate our patients’ vision, making them one of the main driving forces that make CODET Vision Institute work correctly and get the best results.

All the doctors in our institute trust and are supported completely by the Optometry Department to fully gather all the information necessary to provide you with the best possible diagnosis, treatments and follow ups of your results. Every one of our patients is examined by one of our optometrists so that the outcome of our surgeries is successful and can be tailored to the needs of our patients.

Each test and study are completed by our optometrist team with the most innovative technology and everything is verified, reviewed, tested and examined diligently. This is the reality since the moment the patient comes to us until the end and this includes visits, surgeries, equipment settings, medicaments and diagnosis.

For example, when our Optometry Department makes a general visual health checkup, it is done to find any anomaly or red flag within the eye that could prevent the patient from being a good surgery candidate. They can also get your ocular prescription to make sure there is no variation in it and that an IntraLASIK surgery can be performed. Corneal topography and thickness can be analyzed as well so that one of our doctors can decide what is the best procedure for the patient. An optometrist job is also to assess the quality of tears for the correct diagnosis and treatment for dry eye.

For our institute to work correctly, every part of our operation must work at 100% to treat our patients with excellence. Collecting information, carrying out resounding tests, and complete studies are important steps in our CODET system.

Last March 7th Optometrist Day was celebrated and CODET Vision Institute thanks every single one of its optometrists, their passion for the work they do, and for all the help they bring to our staff, our doctors and, above all, our patients.
