CODET Vision Institute and the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) have united to enhance the professional and academic development of physicians through specialized postgraduate programs, further establishing Baja California as a leader in excellence-driven visual healthcare.

Dr. Arturo Chayet, Medical Director of CODET Vision Institute, emphasized that UABC provides academic accreditation for the Fellowship Program in Advanced Specialties. This program allows ophthalmologists to enhance their surgical and clinical skills under the guidance of CODET’s expert surgeons.
Fellows gain invaluable hands-on experience, observing CODET specialists in action while performing procedures and surgeries that benefit underserved populations. This initiative not only improves care for those in need but also ensures access to cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and high-quality medical services. Each year, fellows perform approximately 1,600 surgeries, directly impacting vulnerable patients.
CODET Vision Institute is proud to be the first medical institution in Baja California to receive the Modular Postgraduate Program (PPM) accreditation from UABC, the state’s foremost academic institution.
