The 2nd Mexico – United States Symposium on Vision Health

Irma Zamudio participated in Mexico´s health vision symposium where she discussed how diabetes affects the eyes.

“The 2nd Mexico – United States Symposium on Vision Health was held on January 26 and 27 at the Sheraton María Isabel hotel in Mexico City. CODET ophthalmologist, Dr. Irma Zamudio attended and presented at the event.

The purpose of this event was to create a meeting between ophthalmologists and researchers to discuss the impact of diabetes on visual health, including early detection of vision problems.

CODET ophthalmologist Dr. Irma Zamudio has dedicated most of her career to fighting the vision problems that many people suffer today. Her work and achievements have led her to be president of the Mexican Society of Ophthalmology (SMO).

The visual health symposium hosted personalities such as: Hugo López Gatell, undersecretary of Mexico’s Health Ministry; Ken Salazar, Ambassador of the United States – Mexico City; Dr. Michael F. Chiang, director of the National Eye Institute; and Dr. Silvia Moguel-Ancheita, president of the Mexican Society of Ophthalmology (SMO).
