Cornea and Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship Graduation
CODET Vision Institute took a moment to celebrate the latest graduates of our 2020-2021 Fellowship Program: Dr. Mariana Tabares and Dr. Melesio Palazuelos.
On June 30th, 2021, CODET Vision Institute held a private graduation ceremony for Dr. Mariana Tabares and Dr. Melesio Palazuelos. Both ophthalmologists had recently completed their training in the CODET Vision Institute Fellowship Program on Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and Cornea.
The ceremony began with a message from Dr. Arturo Chayet, Director of CODET Vision Institute. Dr. Chayet acknowledged the work of the doctors during their year in the Fellowship Program. He noted that this year’s graduates experienced a unique situation due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Irma Zamudio, President of the Mexican Society of Ophthalmology, followed. Dr. Zamudio took a moment to thank the ophthalmologists for their enthusiastic participation during this formative year.
After a warm and emotional speech from Dr. Adriana Valdes, Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Service, Dr. Mariana Tabares received her diploma in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus subspecialty.
Sharing an equal message of recognition and encouragement, the Co-Director of Cornea Services, Dr. Denisse Pinkus, presented the diploma in Cornea subspecialty to Dr. Melesio Palazuelos. Dr. Palazuelos’ father had a moment to thank CODET Vision Institute and Dr. Chayet and to congratulate his son on this achievement.
To conclude the ceremony, our CEO, Daniel Chayet, expressed words of appreciation to the doctors for their positive impact in their Fellowship at CODET Vision Institute.
Dr. Chayet presented a moving video that took the doctors back through the moments they experienced with their colleagues and teachers during this past year.
