CODET attended the National Optometry Congress
CODET Vision Institute reaffirmed its position as a key player in promoting education and progress in the field of ophthalmology
CODET Vision Institute stood out at the National Optometry Congress, held from March 7th to 9th at the Baja California Center. During this event, the clinic’s ophthalmologists delivered a series of presentations on various topics related to ophthalmology.
Among the most prominent speakers was Dr. Irma Zamudio, an ophthalmologist at CODET, who addressed the impactful topic of diabetes and its relationship with vision loss in Mexico. Dr. Gabriela Avila, Director of the Glaucoma Service, provided an enlightening perspective on the detection of normal tension glaucoma. Nora Robledo, Director of the Contact Lens Service and Manager of Scientific Publications, presented the innovative BFS approach for calculating corneal RGP lenses, showcasing CODET’s commitment to innovation in vision care.
Fellows from CODET’s Fellowship program also contributed their expertise. Dr. Fernanda Castro, a retina fellow, highlighted the importance of combating diabetic retinopathy, while Dr. Arie Maya, a cornea fellow, shared knowledge on differential diagnoses and treatment of corneal ulcers, as well as advances in keratoconus treatment.
